Kona Choral Society Holiday Concert December 2

The Kona Choral Society presents “Joy to the World”, their annual Holiday concert at 7:00pm on Friday, Dec. 2 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish. The concert is free. Donations are welcomed and appreciated. 

Thursday, December 8  Holy Day of Obligation – The Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary

Masses will be held at 7am and 5pm on Thursday, December 8 for The Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary. We will also pray the rosary at 12noon. 

Following the Rosary, you are invited to Tea on the St. Michael’s South Lanai in honor of Our Mother Mary. Please RSVP to Suzanne Bearth at 808-769-1960. 

Saturday, December 10-Evening Mass at 4pm Christmas Parade at 5pm 

The Kona Christmas Parade is on Saturday, December 10 at 5pm and Alii Drive will be closed during the parade. Our Saturday evening vigil mass will begin at 4pm. The parade begins at 5pm at the Kekuaokalani Gym onto Kuakini Highway, down Palani Road and throughout Alii Drive ending at Coconut Grove Marketplace.

Pō Hemolele – A Christmas Classical Concert December 29

Pō Hemolele ~ The 4th Annual St. Michael’s Christmas Classical Concert will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Tickets are $75.00 and will be available starting Saturday, November 26. Pre-concert entertainment, heavy pupus and wine served from 4:30-5:45pm and the Classical concert starts at 6:00pm. More details to follow in next week’s bulletin.

Monthly Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic Pop-Ups

The Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic at the University of Hawaii’s Richardson School of Law has been operating a once-a-month “pop-up” clinic at the Immaculate Conception Mission Hall in Holualoa. Under the supervision of Law faculty attorneys, law students assist applicants with Immigration Law issues, especially recent arrivals with cases in Immigration Court and asylum-seekers. They also provide general immigration consultations and can assist with applications for U.S. citizenship. “Pop-up” clinics are generally on the second Saturday of the month, by appointment only. Email  [email protected] for more information. Spanish interpreters are available upon request.
